Clearwater Beach isn’t Tampa’s downtown skyline — you won’t find forty-story towers here. What you will find is something better for a rooftop bar: unobstructed Gulf of Mexico views and a sunset that puts on a free show every single night. The best rooftop bars in Clearwater Beach all lean into that — low-rise, laid-back, and built around watching the sky do its thing over the water. Here’s where to go, depending on what kind of night you’re after.
Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest — Best All-Around Pick
Perched on the 10th floor of Pier House 60, Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest gets you a 270-degree view that takes in the beach, the Gulf, Pier 60 itself, and the marina all at once — genuinely one of the best vantage points on the island. It’s open daily for lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks, with a casual menu (wings, pizza, buffalo chicken dip) built for grazing between drinks rather than a sit-down meal. Time your visit for the nightly Sunset Celebration down at Pier 60 and you’ll get a free shot from the bar when the sun drops — a small, very Clearwater touch.

Vue 360 Rooftop Bar — Best for Cocktails
Vue 360 sits atop the Courtyard by Marriott at Clearwater Beach Marina, and while the name promises a full 360, what you actually get is a wide-open eastward view across the Intracoastal — which, at sunrise or during a summer storm rolling in, is arguably the more underrated angle in town. The drink program here is the real draw: think a smoky old fashioned, peach-infused cocktails, and pastel martinis that are built to be photographed as much as sipped. Open nightly 5–11 PM.

Sielo Rooftop Bar — Best Pool-Adjacent Vibe
On the 7th floor of The Hiatus, Sielo pairs craft cocktails with a genuinely relaxed, tropical-leaning atmosphere. The rooftop pool itself is reserved for hotel guests, but the bar is open to anyone who wants to come up for a drink and watch the Gulf change color at dusk. It’s the pick if you want rooftop views without the standing-room-only crowd of the busier spots.

The Deep End — Best for a Full Night Out
At the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, The Deep End takes rooftop dining up a level — literally, on the 11th floor, and figuratively, with a chef-driven menu that mixes Florida ingredients with Latin and Japanese influences. It’s open for lunch and dinner, and it’s built for lingering: come for a sunset drink and stay through a full dinner without ever giving up the view. This is the one to book ahead for a date night or a group celebration.

Bar Tiki — Best Low-Key Marina Stop
Right on the marina, Bar Tiki is the easy, no-reservation option — the spot to grab a drink and watch the boats come in before or after dinner elsewhere on the strip. Less “rooftop scene,” more “why not,” which has its own appeal on a night when you don’t want to plan too hard.

Best for Sunset Views
Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest and Vue 360 both face west-to-southwest and are the strongest pure sunset picks — Jimmy’s for the wide 270-degree sweep, Vue 360 for the marina foreground. Get there by 30–45 minutes before sunset in season; the good rail seats fill up fast.
Best for a Livelier Night
The Deep End and Sielo lean more toward a full night-out atmosphere with fuller food menus and a dressier crowd, especially Friday and Saturday nights. If you’re planning a bigger group, call ahead — none of these venues are large, and rooftop capacity fills quickly once the sunset crowd arrives.
Good to Know
Dress code is beach-resort casual almost everywhere — cover-ups and sandals are fine, but a few (The Deep End especially) skew slightly dressier after dark. Parking is the real planning issue on Clearwater Beach: if you’re staying at one of the hotels above, you can walk straight up from your room; otherwise, budget extra time for public lots near Pier 60 or valet at the hotel you’re visiting. Most of these bars don’t take reservations for the bar itself (only for full dinner service at The Deep End and Jimmy’s), so arriving early is your best strategy during peak season (March–May, October–November).
