Norway just did the unthinkable. Two late Erling Haaland goals knocked Brazil out of the World Cup, and now Norway is headed to the first quarterfinal in the country’s history — and it’s happening right here in South Florida.

Norway vs England. Saturday, July 11. Hard Rock Stadium. 5:00 PM kickoff.

This one has a storyline you couldn’t script: Haaland against England — the country where he plays his club football — with a World Cup semifinal on the line. Two of Europe’s loudest traveling fanbases are about to descend on Miami at the same time.

Whether you’re flying in from Oslo or London, or you’re a Florida local who just realized a match this big is happening in your backyard, this guide covers the three things to lock in this week: tickets, a place to stay, and a game plan for getting to the stadium.

How to Get Norway vs England Tickets

Quarterfinal tickets are still available, but this is the biggest match Hard Rock Stadium has hosted all tournament — a historic first for Norway against an England side that expects to be here every four years. Prices move fast after every knockout result, and they jumped the moment Haaland’s second goal hit the net.

A few things to know before you buy:

Hard Rock Stadium is fully cashless and digital — your tickets live on your phone, and there’s no box office pickup on match day. Buy from a source you trust, transfer tickets to your own account before you travel, and screenshot nothing (dynamic barcodes won’t work from a screenshot).

Where to Stay for the Quarterfinal

Here’s the mistake first-time Miami visitors make every single time: booking a hotel in Miami Beach and then discovering Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens — 35+ minutes north on a good day, longer with match-day traffic.

For a stadium match, the sweet spot is the Aventura / Hallandale Beach corridor: 15–20 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium, safe and walkable, with beaches and Aventura Mall nearby. It also connects to the Brightline Game Day Express shuttle, which means no surge pricing and no $40–$80 parking.

With less than a week until kickoff and two fanbases booking transatlantic flights right now, rooms near the stadium are going quickly.

Heads Up: The Bayfront Park Fan Festival Is Over

If you read about Miami’s FIFA Fan Festival at Bayfront Park — the free watch parties, concerts, and big screens downtown — note that it wrapped up on July 5 after its 23-day run. There is no official downtown fan zone for the quarterfinal.

That changes the calculus a bit: staying downtown no longer gets you a free fan experience within walking distance. For this match, staying near the stadium makes even more sense.

Where to watch if you don’t have tickets? Miami’s British pub scene will be standing room only — expect England fans to pack every pub with a screen from Brickell to Fort Lauderdale. Norwegian fans, you’ll be outnumbered, but you’ll find your people.

Getting to Hard Rock Stadium on Match Day

Brightline + Game Day Express — The best option. Ride Brightline to Aventura Station, then the free match-day shuttle to the stadium. No parking, no surge.

Lot 70 park-and-ride — $10 parking with a complimentary shuttle. The budget move if you’re driving.

Driving direct — Parking must be purchased in advance online ($40–$80+). No cash or card at the gate on event day.

Rideshare — Fine getting there; brutal getting back. Post-match surge from Hard Rock is real. Have an exit plan before kickoff.
