💬 Danny’s Take
It’s been a while, but I got to see my hometown Red Sox play the Yankees at Steinbrenner Field, and I still remember it. (These days I’m a Tampa Bay Rays fan, but that’s another story.) Yankees Spring Training 2027 Schedule

The Yankees released their 2027 spring schedule on September 4, 2026: 30 Grapefruit League games, starting Friday, February 19, 2027, against the Toronto Blue Jays. Spring training runs through late March, wrapping up right before Opening Day. Home games are at Steinbrenner Field, and road games take them around Florida, mostly to nearby Clearwater, Dunedin, Lakeland and Bradenton.

⚠️ Heads Up: 2027 Lockout Risk
MLB’s collective bargaining agreement expires on December 1, 2026, and players have warned a lockout is possible. In 2022 a lockout pushed spring training games back several weeks. Until a new deal is signed, book refundable hotels and flights. We’ll update this page as soon as there’s news.

Check the full game-by-game schedule on the Yankees’ official site before you book, since start times and matchups can change.

Steinbrenner Field: What to Know

Opened in 1996, Steinbrenner Field seats about 11,000 people, which is a fraction of Yankee Stadium. That’s exactly why it’s so much fun: there’s barely a bad seat in the house. The field has the same dimensions as Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and there’s even a Monument Park–style tribute area honoring Yankees legends.

Tickets

  • Buy through the Yankees’ official site or Ticketmaster, or call the box office at (813) 875-7753.
  • Weekend games and big matchups (Red Sox, Phillies, Rays) sell out first. Weekday afternoon games are your best bet for last-minute seats.
  • The Florida sun is strong, even in February. If you burn easily, check the seating map for covered or shaded sections before you buy.

Parking and getting there

  • Steinbrenner Field sits at Dale Mabry Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, right across from Raymond James Stadium.
  • Game-day parking is in the paid lots around the ballpark and Raymond James Stadium. A pedestrian overpass takes you safely across Dale Mabry Highway.
  • Rideshare is easy, and it saves you from the post-game traffic on Dale Mabry.

Bag policy and ballpark tips

  • Bags larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches aren’t allowed, and that includes backpacks and duffel bags. Everyone goes through metal detectors.
  • Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Afternoon games in March can feel like summer.
  • Get there early to watch batting practice. Spring training is the most relaxed chance you’ll get to see players up close.
  • Don’t skip the classics: peanuts, Cracker Jack and a cold drink in the sun.
