Every February, a little piece of Boston moves to Southwest Florida. JetBlue Park in Fort Myers is a near copy of Fenway Park, Green Monster and all, and for Red Sox fans, catching a spring training game here under the Florida sun is about as good as baseball gets.
First 2027 game: February 19 vs. Northeastern (Grapefruit League opener Feb. 20 at the Rays)
Home games: 15 at JetBlue Park
Red Sox vs. Yankees: March 9 in Tampa, March 17 in Fort Myers
Airport: Southwest Florida International (RSW), just south of the ballpark
From Tampa: about 2 to 2.5 hours on I-75
Red Sox Spring Training 2027 Schedule
The Red Sox kick off on Friday, February 19, 2027, with their annual exhibition against Northeastern University at JetBlue Park, then open Grapefruit League play on February 20 at the Tampa Bay Rays in Port Charlotte. They’ll play 15 home games in Fort Myers.
- March 9: Red Sox at Yankees, Steinbrenner Field, Tampa. See our Yankees spring training guide.
- March 17: Yankees at Red Sox, JetBlue Park, Fort Myers. This one will sell out.
- March 22–23: The Red Sox finish spring in San Francisco against the Giants at Oracle Park, so the last Florida home games come a few days earlier than usual.
- March 25: Opening Day at Seattle.
Always check the full game-by-game schedule on the Red Sox’s official site before you book, since times and matchups can change.
JetBlue Park: Fenway South
Opened in 2012, JetBlue Park seats about 11,000 people and was built to feel like home for Boston fans. The field matches Fenway Park’s exact dimensions, down to Pesky’s Pole, and the replica Green Monster in left field has a twist the original doesn’t: three rows of seats built right into the middle of the wall. Sitting in the “Monster” is a bucket-list seat for any Sox fan.
Tickets
- Buy through the Red Sox’s official site or the JetBlue Park box office.
- Yankees games, weekends and Monster seats sell out first, so buy as soon as single-game tickets go on sale.
- The Florida sun is strong, even in February. Check the seating map for shaded sections if you burn easily.
Getting there and parking
- JetBlue Park is off Daniels Parkway, just east of I-75 and right next to Southwest Florida International Airport.
- Paid parking is on site. Plan extra time on game days, because traffic can back up on Daniels Parkway.
- Coming from Tampa? It’s roughly 140 miles down I-75. Leave early, since I-75 through Sarasota and Port Charlotte can get busy during peak season.
- Check the Red Sox’s current bag policy before you go. Smaller bags are the safe bet.
Ballpark tips
- Get there early for batting practice. It’s the most relaxed chance you’ll get to see players up close.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are a must for day games.
