Since their very first season in 1977, the Toronto Blue Jays have spent every spring in the small Gulf Coast town of Dunedin, Florida. They’re the only Major League team that has never changed its spring training home. Add a renovated ballpark, a walkable downtown full of breweries, and white-sand beaches 15 minutes away, and you’ve got one of the best spring training trips in Florida.

TD Ballpark: What to Know
TD Ballpark got a roughly $102 million makeover in 2019–2020, which bumped capacity to about 8,500. That’s still small enough that every seat feels close to the action. It’s also home to the Dunedin Blue Jays, Toronto’s Single-A team, so there’s baseball here well past March.
Tickets
- Buy through the Blue Jays’ spring training page on MLB.com, or call the box office at (727) 733-9302.
- Yankees and Red Sox games sell out first. Expect plenty of Canadian fans, since Dunedin turns into “Toronto South” every March.
- The Florida sun is strong, even in February. Check the seating map for shaded sections if you burn easily.
Parking and getting there
- Parking is the biggest challenge at TD Ballpark. On game days the city enforces resident-permit parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, so don’t count on street parking.
- Arrive early for the paid lots, or use the PSTA Park and Ride shuttle.
- Staying downtown? The ballpark is an easy walk from Main Street, which is the best way to do Dunedin.
Where to Stay for Blue Jays Spring Training
The Fenway Hotel (historic, upscale)
A restored 1920s landmark on the Dunedin waterfront, now part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. It’s the classic splurge in Dunedin, with sunset views over St. Joseph Sound and a quick ride to the ballpark.
Grant Street Inn (small-inn charm)

Clearwater Beach (beach base)
If you want beach days between games, Clearwater Beach is about 20 to 25 minutes south, and it’s also close to the Phillies’ ballpark. Browse Clearwater Beach vacation rentals, or compare the two beach towns in our Clearwater Beach vs. St. Pete Beach guide.
