Plant City calls itself the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World, and for 11 days the whole town celebrates the harvest. It feels like a state fair: a big carnival midway, livestock shows, headline country and classic rock concerts and, most importantly, strawberry shortcake by the bowlful.
